FRIENDS OF BRAZIL,

Lavagem da Rua 46/Cleansing of 46th street contribution to the community.

For its 4th consecutive year correlated with the Lavagem of 46 street, our Brazilian Cultural Parade and Festival are the producers of the annual Lavagem Expo from August 29 to September 5 in New York, which officially opens the Brazil Week. In the past years the Lavagem Expo had given opportunities to various Brazilian artists to exhibit their various works, such as photography, fine arts, poetry, theater, fashion, music and dance presentations.

Throughout the years our artists included world renowned photographers such as Chester Higgins Jr. (New York Times), Luiz Ribeiro (New York Post) and Ricardo Pimentel (Folha de Sao Paulo).
The work of the Brazilian fine arts painter Galina was also put on display.

In its third year, Edgar de Souza brought forward his photographic documentary of "Bembe do Mercado".

Lavagem Expo 2011 Presents "Expressions" by Bel Borba

Bel Borba is a visual artist from Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. He initially became famous for his mosaics that can be seen in a great many neighborhoods throughout Salvador, but he works in a variety of (often mixed) media including acrylic paint, metals, digital renderings, ceramics and more. His work often has a humorous surrealistic quality.

The location of the Lavagem Expo is an excellent opportunity for sponsors to present and disclose products and promote tourism.

Your presence in this grand event, besides joining together in promoting Brazilian culture in an objective way, will leave its mark on the multicultural audience.

Our event receives extensive media coverage and great reviews.

Thank you
